The Clare Valley - Day 1

Having a wonderful time so far. The Clare Valley is one of South Australia's wine regions, about 1 1/2 hours north of Adelaide. The country side is beautiful, hoping to catch some better photos in the days to come. We slept in today, did some laundry (a weekly task!), then visited a few wineries this afternoon.

We are staying at the Stanley Grammar House - a lovely old school that's been turned into a B&B. Our hosts, Denise and Frank make sure their guests are well cared for.

Lucy must be related to Bradley - she wants to play ball day and night! The other pic is a goose we saw at Crabtree Winery.

We stopped in at Seven Hills Cellars - here's a shot of the vineyard, and another of the church on the winery grounds - it was originally a monastery:

Caught the tail end of the sunset as we returned to Stanley Grammar:

Whew - all caught up on the Blog now. Tomorrow is another lazy day with no set agenda.
